This is an organisation that is necessary in this day and time. so many LGBTIQ kids are kicked out of home, bullied or just feel so alone and so different.
Open Doors provides them with a safe place to go for advice, help and socialisation with other kids.
The staff are wonderful.
We took a friend of our daughter in here and he spoke to a worker named Jules who helped him with accommodation and support.
They are awesome. They help gay, lesbians, bi's and transgender with counselling with people between 12 to 24. They are very welcoming and have a lot of fun with the other things they do. They are great. They are open from 9am to 5pm.
Open Doors provides counselling and support services for lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender (LGBT) young people aged 12 to 24 and their families who live in South East Queensland.
Open Doors will also work with service providers and communities in the South East Queensland region -
Open Doors is open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. They accept referrals from young people, families, friends, schools and other services.

Reconnect Program
Peer Mentor Program
Drop-In (12 to 18)
Young and Proud (18 – 24)
Jellybeans (transgender young people)
QueerYarn (Indigenous young people)
Queeriosity Youth Festival
They provide support to family members to assist them to support and have healthy relationships with their children. Where a parent or a young person requests, they will provide mediation between family members to assist communication and in the resolution of current conflicts.
