Natalie has a special interest in perinatal mental health and other life transitions. Her focus is on working together to explore any limiting beliefs and release anxiety or fear-based responses you may be experiencing in a safe and trauma-informed way. Having worked with culturally diverse individuals and families in a range of areas for the past years 20 years, and with significant lived experience, she can listen and hold space for you through your unique challenges, including those related to pregnancy, birth, parenting, family, relationships, gender, neurodiverse or other identities, and loss and grief experiences.
She is an empathetic listener and have a calming presence, which can help to create a safe environment to navigate stressful transitions, as doing this without support can become overwhelming and lead to burnout over time. Collaboratively, she will work with you to shift out of survival mode and towards improving your overall emotional and physical wellbeing.
Individual, family and couple counselling sessions are offered in-person and via phone or Zoom. These utilise an integrative strengths-based approach, which can include attachment and family systems theories, as well as solutions-focused therapy to explore your current or past experiences. They may also incorporate mindfulness-based and somatic modalities to calm the nervous system and release stress, tension and trauma.
There are also opportunities for 'walk'n'talk' sessions for therapeutic conversations outdoors in nature, as well as play sessions together with your child. Babies are also welcome. Please call for a confidential and informal chat to find out more.
