Really good authentic malaysian food. We are talking quality malaysian food, not the cheap and cheerful kind. The surrounds are appropriate to the class they are hitting, with decor and furniture presenting a clean, modern and slightly hipster asian theme.
Menu wise, you can else the standard malaysian dishes as well as dishes with a twist. Regardless of what you order, the ingredients used are high quality and the skill of the kitchen team is evident. On the day in question, we feasted on duck sang choi bao, chilli prawns, chilli crab, house made roti & peanut chutney. They also have house made teh tarek which is really good.

We've been to Omah's a couple of times in the past and last weekend, we decided to drop in again with some friends. For some reason, I always find the insulation here a bit lacking and depending where you are seated, it can get a bit drafty. However, that is more than made up by the curries we had as they were wonderfully done with beautiful flavours. (chicken curry, assam fish curry and kangkong belachan) They are also one of the few places we know that can do a mean crab dish in a variety of ways. Together with a nicely presented setting, it is a good place to get a curry fix.

Approximate cost: $30

Came here for the first time tonight with a group of friends. Delicious food with very good service - attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The restaurant is also very well presented and is a welcoming space. We will definitely be returning.

we tried the omahs duck, laksa, and nonya fish. The duck sauce is not as nice as the one at Omahs port melbourne. The laska and nonya fish tasted good. However, there was a piece of sharp plastic in my laksa soup!!! ( lucky i didnt injure my mouth eating ) Also food is overall a bit overpriced.

This restaurant is the second restaurant in the Omah group and we thought great, we no longer need to run half way across town to enjoy great Malaysian food!

Unfortunately I think the cook for this location has a different take on things and the regular dishes we enjoy at Omah's Port Melbourne lacked authenticity.

Our regular dishes include Belachan Kangkong, Beef Rendang, Curry Puffs, Lobak, and coconut prawns along with lots of coconut rice!

The kangkong veggies despite asking for mild came out really spicy so we ended up eating as much rice as we could to reduce the intensity of the chilli heat!

The Rendang tasted more like a regular watery curry instead of thick semi dry pieces of beef soaked in the curry. There was a fair amount of oil on display instead of curry!

The curry puffs were ok and like Omah's in Port Melbourne.

The prawns were okay as well.

The Lobak (a fried roll with ingredients inside similar to spring rolls)

What lowers Omah's score was the quality of the cooking was not as tasty or delicious as the other store and prices tend to be at the upper end of middle class style dining. Expect to pay around $35 for each main which by Malaysian restaurants in Australia standards is quite high.

Approximate cost: $28
