This is what Chinese street dining is like. It's in and out and people eat fast. They are known for their great dumplings and dragon buns. Great food but staff is not attentive.

The xiao long bao (steam pork bun) there is really good and fresh made. You can watch how they make while dinning. Beautiful environment to make you feel like in China. There's a Chinese bike at the entrance.

Approximate cost: $15

Nice and fresh food. No one can compare and price is super cheap. But do not expect very good service, as they are so so busy all the time.

If you don't want to queue up, must go there before 12 for lunch

Approximate cost: $10

Wonderful restaurant! I have been back so many times, it's quite embarrassing. The dumpling ladies working behind the glass probably recognise me by now. New Shanghai was recently opened, and I was quite excited as Chatswood is in need of better restaurants. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised, and the food was quite nice. Those noodle slices with beef, no sure what they're named, are delicious. As is their Xiao Long Bao.

Not the best service but renowned for it's mini pork dumplings. Place can be a little difficult to find as it's below street level and you have to take the stairs down.

Approximate cost: $15
