Such a surprisingly good experience. Having just moved up to Adelaide from Sydney, I was brought here by my fiance. Being a wine lover (think Qantas epicure), I was won over by the quality wines from a relatively new winery. And yes, I have signed up as a VIP member!

Just getting there is half the fun. You can pass through the historic township of Hahndorf. However, when you get there it's like a whole little new world. Beautiful sweeping views over some of the Adelaide Hills.
The wines are good, each with their subtleties.
However, I was stung by a rogue bee the last time I was there. Was a little bit daunting, as we noticed there were European wasps around too... But all in all, everything worked out fine with me getting a discount.

Love Nepenthe wines and the winery is just gorgeous. Love going there on a wintry day and tasting the great range of wines.

This is one of our favourite wine labels and until recently we hadn't made it to the cellar door. We are so glad that we made the effort now as it is a beautiful place. Next time we will make sure that we have a bit more time to spend as its a lovely place to relax. The staff were great and gave us some new information about the wines.

Nepenthe is good value for money, the cellardoor experience is warm and friendly with staff being well informed about the wine and wine in general. Tastings at the cellar door are free and its worth springing for a glass of your favourite and a cheese platter. Its a great place to relax on a sunday arvo.
