You need a champagne budget for this champagne experience and its worth it. Once I got over the guilt of affording myself such self indulgence, I didn't want to leave. I cant wait to spoil myself again!

I would advise the manicure staff to familiarize themselves with Shellac removal procedure in order not to deeply damage your nails savagely scraping away the surface layers of the natural nail plate. First of all, instead of using metal scarper you should use orange stick or at least plastic scraper. But if you do use metal scraper you should be careful with it and place it appropriately relatively to the nail surface. And no, my nails had not been not broken before that cruel procedure-the nail plate was solid and without any cracks and splits. Now 3 of my nails have deep cracks, those nails from which shellac was removed by metal scraper placed inccorrectly relatively to the nail plate. Shall I ever have my nails done in this salon that positions itself as a high class salon with highly skilled professionals?-Definitely not! I can't say anything about your other treatments, but, you know, I do not particularly feel like trying them on myself after that.

I took a friend here for some surprise pampering - mani and pedi, make-up and hair wash and blow dry. The manager was delightfully helpful and accommodating on the telephone when I booked at the last minute. The staff member who did the mani, pedi and make-up was lovely. The reduction in stars was for the following: if you offer a drink and the guest asks for water on a very hot day, it shouldn't take asking three times over the course of 90 minutes whether she'd like a drink before actually bringing her the glass of water she's asked for three times. I could also visibly see my friend's delight at a wonderful day reduce by the attitude of the hairdresser. It was very clear that she took herself very seriously and she was both distant and arrogant, and quite obviously disapproved when my friend asked for a bit less curl in her hair (we were going for elegant middle-aged lady, not prom look). Additionally, my friend was not offered the accompaniments that was offered as part of the mani/pedi package. It's a beautiful place and I have no doubt that most people will have a lovely experience, but I was disappointed because I had read so many good reviews about how friendly people are here. Perhaps after a long and warm day they just weren't on their game.
