This is a bit of a mixed review. I had a craving for Dosa (large flat pancake made of rice and black lentil flour) so I visited this restaurant with my partner. I had the Masala Dosa (curried potato inside the Dosa). I found it ok, nothing spectacular.

My partner had the non-vegetarian Thali, which I suggested based on online reviews. He totally didn't enjoy it. Two of the curries (dhal and butter chicken) were average, there was another meat curry (can't tell if it's beef or goat or lamb) that was totally tasteless and the meat was rubbery. There was also a very average mushroom and veg curry. The naan was ok and rice is standard but the poppadum was stale. He totally didn't enjoy his meal and said that it was the worst indian food he has had, ever!

Very tasty food, loved it! Went as part of a large group, so didn't really notice any service issues (was too busy chatting to time the waiters). Had a great night with great food!

I bought a samosa here and although it was very tasty, it was way too spicy for me. I was sweating quite a lot and kept sniffing as I ate the giant samosa. After that I had a tasting plate of different curries, rice, yoghurt and a poppadom. It was nice to taste a bit of everything. However, the service was a bit slow.

The food quality is generally good as it the only restaurant in Perth which provides some south indian dishes (e.g. dosa) but the service is always horrendous. The waiting time is almost unbearable. First you have to wait for someone to take the order and then wait for ages for the food to arrive. You have to really lucky if you are serviced and served in a reasonable time. My one of the worst experience was a bulk pre-order for which they made me wait for one hour and I got late for a party. The lady behind the counter was not even courteous enough to apologize. Her only objective was to avoid me knowing that I am a unhappy customer standing behind the counter.

Food is Good and, value for money, but these guys should treat within time, some times they delay to take order,or some times after giving order you have to wait for food more than expected time.

The food is great and there are many delicious options to choose from. I had a Thali and was not disappointed. I haven't tried the sweets but they look delicious. The other reviewers are correct in saying that the food is great, however the prices are a little expensive for the portion size and quality.

The first time me and my boyfriend went it was fully booked, so we sat on bar stools at the waiting table. We were frustrated we didn't book, but it wasn't planned and we kind of stumbled across this lovely restaurant! The previous Indian restaurant we went to the service was slow, so we were extremely happy and surprised when we were served in less than 10minutes for a full house! The food was fantastic and Halal so that meant my boyfriend (being Muslim) could pick any dish! The meat samosas and the butter chicken are my favourite. I have been there since and think it is a great option for having dinner out. They also have very yummy deserts to choose from.

its a great place for indian sweet lovers. all variety of indian sweets and eatables are available here with authentic taste. but the service can be done better. cost is little higher to its taste. if it improves in some area it can attract many.

The food is generally of a good standard but the prices are right up there. We tend to order takeaway from the place whenever we run out of dinner options because they deliver free to our suburb!

Good selection of authentic Indian dishes such as vegetarian or meat curry served with bread (dosas, naan etc) and a variety of condiments. There is a selection of Indian sweets available. Mela is a licensed restaurant

Approximate cost: $15.00
