Went last year in the middle of the night, the shop was a little crowded and we couldn't find a sit. The cakes we ordered were all delicious but a bit heavy on my wallet, just for cake! The drinks were all so sweet, no need to add sugar.

Great place to go for desserts. Chocolates that is! It is very busy on the weekend so you might feel a bit guilty for sitting for too long as people will keep staring at you till you leave so they can take your sit!

Great location, but does get packed sometimes, so it's best to get something takeaway and sit on the water instead. Most amazing ice-cream ever - choc hazlenut is to die for, and be sure to get the chocolate sauce because it's made from lindt chocolate and is even better than the ice-cream itself (if that's even possible!). Non-dessert food is pretty standard, nothing special.

Staff was a tad rude/short with me, though that was probably because they were very busy. Had an iced chocolate which was very nice, a little more watery than I'd expected. Pricey, but you do get quality desserts/drinks and a nice environment.

If you are a chocolate lover then this is the place to visit. You cannot go wrong with Lindt chocolate. Location is nice. Great for tourists or somewhere to take the relatives, interstate ffreinds.

yummy lindt chocolate milkshakes are a real treat. give it a good stir as all the goodies sink to the bottom or wait till the end for a great choc hit. service is inconsistent and rushed during busy times. takeaway is great and worth it.

don't order too much has you'll end up feeling sick - as in chocolate overload.

I was excited to hear about this cafe since we don't have one back in Melbourne.
The cafe is located in a lovely location and the shop interior is very nice. The staff were pleasant and efficient.

My partner and I ordered a hot chocolate and a slice of Opera cake. The prices of their products are a bit more than what you would normally expect in a cafe, however, they are all made with lindt chocolate which is more expensive than your average chocolate.

If you ask for take away, you will also save a few dollars as there is an extra charge for eating in and since the cafe is right on the Wharf, you might as will do this and sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view of Cockle Bay.

The hot chocolate was excellent and had a velvet texture. The cake was delicious and was placed into a very pretty box. This place does not skimp on packaging!
This is definitely the place to go when you're after a special treat.

lindt chocolate cafe was a dream come true. introduced by a boyfriend, i have now been there continuously with girlfriends. the hot chocolate is delicious and mouthwatering

Yep, the chocolate is certainly nice, and there's lots of different varieties but make sure you bring your cashed up friend to pay for you ;-) Their location is good, though as others have said it does get busy and there's not always shade on a sunny day. Maybe not hugely different from other shops around there.

Oh, a chocolaholic's heaven! Be very orgasmically surprised with this sinful, decadent cafe. Their coffees as rich as their chocolate, nothing can top off a relaxing Sunday morning or a wagged day at uni like a trip to the Lindt Cafe. A definite must see for all food connoisseurs, as Lindt is truly the smoothest, richest chocolate on earth.
