Great place to come for drinks by the lovely Lake Wendoree. I have been here many times for drinks and its just great sitting out on the footpath with friends and beer in hand. Never had food here but I have heard good things!

Great location, excellent menu. You must try the surf and turf pizza! Excellent value for money. I have heard lots of stories about disappointing service but I've always been extremely happy. Nathan will always make you feel welcome and looked after.

Went there for a "quick bite", ordered some fries and 2x glasses of juice. Got our glasses of Juice after about 10 minutes, then after about half an hour we still hadn't received our fries (keeping in mind that it takes about 5 minutes to deep fry some french fries). So I told the waitress we had been waiting quite some time and she said she would check up on it. After serving a few groups of people she went to check, and then after about 5 minutes came to tell us that there was a mistake and our order had been lost in the kitchen and the chips were on there way. She didn't seem very apologetic or phased at how long we had been waiting at all. So what was meant to be a quick bite, turned into a long wait and us missing our train!

Had lunch here today. This is our 3rd visit, the past was breakfast & lunch. Breakfast was Eggs Florentine and it was divine.

The food is always consistent and the service today was fantastic. It's Good Friday and there was plenty of staff waiting on us. Further, they didn't charge an extra fee for the public holiday which surprised me as many businesses take advantage of this. I was happy to tip them on this occasion for their great service.

I had the seafood pizza and it was lovely. Presentation and taste was faultless. I did rate my meal 3 star though as the pizza was $16 (7") and I've had a much larger size with more substance for that at similar establishments. However, it was enough to fill my belly and the taste was lovely. I had a sneak peek at some other meals around the tables and they all looked very nice especially the bruschetta, I'll be ordering that next time!

I'd certainly go back again (for dinner next time) as its the kind of place where you'd rarely fault the service or food and these sorts of establishments are getting rarer these days.

Both times we've been here we've been happy with the food and service. Great location over looking the (dry) lake. Can get busy and is quite popular on the weekends - service could be an issue during these times. Meal quality was good and sizes well priced.

New owners have recently taken over and I believe the service and quality has improved. Our first time there was with the 'old' owners though we didn't have reason to complain.

Parking could be an issue during busy times so be prepared for a little walk. Very popular with the cyclists on weekend mornings though they tend to eat in the footpath dining areas. Dining area is adjacent to the bar and does get noisy with multiple large-screen TVs playing sports.

My partner and i ate here for the first time since the new owners took over and the improvements are unbelievable! We ordered the seafood platter and it was all beautiful and fresh unlike most so called seafood platters which are processed fish coated in batter and deep fried. The service was brilliant and I've told everyone I know to go there. Keep up the amazing job guys.

I think the menu is stretching their cooks skills/experience a bit far. The meals came out looking messy but you could tell how they were meant to look. The taste was average, but there was just too much variety in something that's meant to be a simple, nice tasting meal. I'd go back again because of the location however, there's not better place to sit and have a beer than out front or up on the balcony at the LVH.

Happy to report that new management took over recently and the new staff are very pleasant and helpful. Found this out when we went there for the first time last weekend for a meal and to stay the night.
Loved the location by the lake and the look of the restaurant. Bar a bit too noisy for comfort - but it was Saturday night.
Despite the hype, food just OK.
Motel-style accommodation at the upstairs rear was nothing flash but spacious and inexpensive.

I have been here many times over the years, but after my last experience I won't be back. The male staff member who appeared to be a manager was so rude to the customers and also a female staff member it had myself and those with me feeling uncomfortable. He belittled her and other staff member to the point that she was in tears and walked out.

Certainly very conveniently located at the Lake (but hopefully the drought will break the lake will fill up again)

The food is good - typical fare.
You would be going there more because of the location rather than for fine dining
