The ramen here is delicious! The price is a little bit expensive but so are other ramen places. The broth here is so rice and the noodles are all hand made. The gyoza is also really good. They use to have a good lunch special offer for ramen, wish they would bring that back!

Been to this place a few times, ordered ramen every time.
The services are quick. You go in and they quickly arrange a table for you.
The prices for most ramen are within the range of 10-15 dollars. The portion (size) you get is average. The taste is average.
Overall, this place is okay, I wouldn't mind coming here. But with fifteen dollars, I think I could find a better place to eat in CBD.

A modern ramen bar, the service is quick, very very generous and good quality. The bowls (more like mini cauldrons) of ramen are enormous and come with a ladle and chopsticks to help you get to the noodles and broth etc. It is enough to feed two girls or one hungry boy.

I listen from my friend that this restaurant provide delicious ramen. Two week ago, i eaten in there, and trully noodle of ramen is nice. But the soup i think little salty. Maybe i just tried one menu of ramen and other menu i am not yet tried. The price i think too expensive around 11 dollar- 15 dollar depends on menu that u choose. But there is cheap price in the restaurant around 8,5 dollar for basis ramen that customer can choose. The special from the restaurant there are many kind of ramen menu that you can choose. So it is suitable for people who like ramen.

I heard the ramen here was amazing and was left utterly disappointed. I ordered the Pork Belly Hakata Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen which cost just under $15. The portion size for the price I paid was probably smaller than I expected. In other words I could get a bigger serve for a cheaper price elsewhere.

I didn't mind paying the $15 at first because I had heard wonderful things about the ramen here. But after my first bite I really didn't think it was worth the money I paid. Or maybe I did get what I paid for - in salt form.

The entire dish was so salty I was only a few bites in before I had to down two glasses of water. I couldn't finish much of it because it was so salty. I thought it might have just been the broth that was too salty and resorted to eating the noodles without drinking any soup, but turns out the noodles were somewhat salty as well.

Now just for clarification, I'm not someone who doesn't eat much salt which may have led to me thinking this ramen was too salty. I probably get told off for how much salt I put on my fries. But this was so much more salty than anything I've ever eaten.

There was one piece of pork belly in the ramen which was cooked fairly well and pretty nice to eat. But that's about all I enjoyed about it.

I might consider going back to try some of their other items, but I definitely won't order the same thing again.

If anyone has any recommendations for any other menu items I should try out please let me know! It's so hard to find good ramen in Melbourne!

Great job of describing your experience! I have been looking into a place to try ramen, but I might give this one a miss as you are not the only person who has said their meals are too salty...

I was a little skeptical coming here to try the ramen (Japanese soup noodle) since there are so many mixed reviews about this. Some say good some say not good so it's only just today I decided to try the ramen. When I saw the menu I straight away realised why so many people say something about the taste is "missing". They are MSG free. Most ramen shop everywhere usually put MSG to make them "tasty". So if someone who already used to eating ramen with lots of MSG in them try this ramen, you can imagine why they might think it's not that good. I ordered the chicken and seafood base stock with soft shell crab (I believe this to be a safer bet since there is no MSG but the seafood stock will give it lots of flavour). That turns out to be very good indeed even without MSG. The soft shell crab is also good and the noodle is not overly done either. However, my husband said my ramen broth tastes more like udon (another type of Japanese soup noodle)broth. He prefers the one he ordered (tonkotsu shoyu base - pork bone and soy sauce base) since it tastes more like the ramen he could find in Japan. I tried the broth he ordered and it tasted very good (however I find them a little bland since there is no MSG). But we will definitely be back to try more variety. And the good thing is at least we know it's healthier albeit less "tasty".

Ah, you have answered a lot of questions I had about ramen in your review! I would feel more confident trying it now.

I was not a fan of this establishment. The flavours were not authentic, very salty with minimal toppings. The food is not reflective of the pictures on the menu. The texture of the ramen noodles themselves was good but the broth can definitely improved.

I have tried the ramen with the lot and also tried the most simple one with chashu and corn. Not impressed unfortunately!

Their beers were very expensive.

For a place that specialises in ramen noodles - I am somewhat disappointed. Will not be back. I am not sure why there is such a crowd of customers... is it something that I do not get?

I love ramen but could never find a place that serves proper ramen in Melbourne. A friend recommended this place. We were greeted with "Irasshaimase"- welcome, which is the custom in Japan. The ramen menu was extensive and exciting. I tried the soft shell crab one, the crab was nice and crispy. The soup broth was so authentic and full of flavours. The place is quite noisy due to the staffs yelling out welcome and thank yous every time customer enter and exit the store. But I love it because it reminds me of Japan.
