There are two restaurants - Kobe Jones and Wharf Teppanyaki. The atmosphere is always chilled and laid back with friendly staff while the quality of the food is excellent. Great value when combined with a Groupon/Scoopon. As has already been mentioned in another review, I highly recommend the Volcano Rolls.
Fantastic Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu to choose from. Can't say I've ever been disappointed eating here, atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, but if you book early enough in advance, ask for a table outside as it really adds to the evening. All the sushi rolls are amazing, my personal favourite the Lollipop Sushi!
thanks for sharing
I went to Kobe Jones for dinner with a group of friends. The atmosphere these is great. We ordered a few dishes to share which includes the Sashimi, Alaskan Crab, Soft soft crab rolls, Tataki etc. We also ordered 3 bottles of sake to share. We were very full by the end of the night. Service was great with the wait staff being very polite and courteous. I found the prices to be quite expensive, but I guess the price includes the view of overlooking the Darling Harbour.
Great atmosphere though some of the seating is a bit inappropriate for eating and great service and staff.
The Volcano Rolls are to die for. Don't miss them out if you are eating here! The quality of food is definitely worth the price however it would probably a regarded as a special occasion restaurant.
Great Japanese food but on the expensive side. Great dining experience and would definitely return for a special occasion.
Approximate cost: $50
The food is amazing, will definitely return! It's a bit pricey but its a restaurant that u MUST try.
Approximate cost: $40
Kobe Jones is Japanese fusion at its best. Every time I visit, I must always choose their famous Volcano Rolls. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is divine for a romantic night out or a quiet evening with close friends.
Approximate cost: $35
LOVE the volcano rolls they are famous for! We used to go there for the $20pp lunch specials where you could keep ordering sushi platters w/ the variety of the favourites - was amazing but the service was poor & you were expecting a 40+ min wait.
We went for the new lunch special where you choose from the set menu which is less dishes for $25pp & didnt get you full the last specials used to. We've stopped going since as it's not value for money.
Dim lights and red theme throughout the restaurant makes it very romantic. Was with a couple of children who were very loud, but the waiters were very nice about it :) Had the $75 banquet, which had some strange dishes (wasabi mash potato??? so weird) but was pretty great overall. I love the salads. The deserts were also great! Would definitely go again :)
