My dog was seeing a vet at this clinic for cardiac care. He felt she did not need a cardiologist and was fine on the medication I was purchasing from him. I took her in on a wed to as she was coughing more and I was concerned. He said she was fine on her current medication and to keep it the same. She a had a heart attack a few days later. I was then shocked to discover they have no after hours care and as a result I had to take my dog to another hospital. They gave her what they could but they too were closing at 800pm. By 0330 hours she was suffering greatly. I called receptionist at Karalee Karana vets as soon as they opened and was told no, the vet would not come and put my dog down as he had other dogs booked in. This clinic has several vets working at it and despite the fact that my dog was suffering and was coughing up blood and sounded like an aquarium bubbler he would not come out. I could not even pick her up to take her anywhere as her entire chest would collapse and she could not breathe, I had to hold her upright to get air. Another vet was kind enough to phone around for me to find someone, and found another vet who has never met my dog, and he came and put her down despite having his own patient load. Karalee Karana vets has forgotten that vets do not work 9-5 and yes on occasion they need to make house calls. They have taken thousand and thousands of dollars from me in both surgeries and medication, but when you need them they will not be there. I strongly feel my Dog should have been under the care of a cardiologist, and after speaking to other vets I now know she could have been on different meds, and I feel she suffered needlessly. A vet driven by monetary values is in my opinion the wrong choice and I know now I chose the wrong vet when I chose Karalee Karana vets.

Agree 100% this place is a joke, the main vet, forgot his name, could not care less about your pet

My local vet, who I have taken both my Border Collie/Kelpie and my cat too for check ups and vaccinations. Friendly staff, great price and plenty of parking.

We regularly take our Staffie to this vet to have her vaccinations, heartworm etc. The vet is in a free-standing house with plenty of car parking so it is easy to access with dogs. Their tick prevention program is great. The staff are experienced and positive and handle our energetic dog very well.

Approximate cost: $40.00
