A little hidden gem tucked away in the backstreets of residential thornbury - a local secret that they'd probably want to keep to themselves. Great coffee, good depth of flavour, right temperature etc. The food menu is great, I was particularly impressed by the range of vegetarian options for a cafe that is not specifically focused in that way. Incidentally both dishes ordered by our table were vegetarian, it was not intended, the dishes just sounded really good and delicious, and they were. For example - Dish 1 was a Mushroom and Hash, featuring a housemande hash brown, sauteed mushrooms, celeriac puree and a poached egg topped with goats cheese, herb salad & truffle oil. Dish 2 was spiced beetroot and red lentil fritters with roasted capsicum hommus, braised fennel and kale. Both were beautiful and delicious, and wholesome too.
Staff are chirpy and the place has really positive energy about it. I enjoyed it, hope you do too.
