Stopped in for lunch last Saturday with my wife after hearing good things (and we also had an Entertainment Book voucher to use).

When we entered the venue, it would have been nice to get a little acknowledgement from staff, but when approached they were warm, friendly and knowledgable.

The quality of the food was excellent, though my bacon was a shade fattier than I would normally like, it was full of flavour and there were several other options on the menu I would be keen to try.

Definately worth stopping in if you're in the area.

While staying in the adjacent hotel we ate and drank at this little bar several times. Each time the food was exceptional (hard to go past the meat platters when the tapas menu is running) and the service was very friendly and personable. The breakfast we had here was also great and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to head back to Hobart and visit again!

Delicious food in a lovely setting, beautiful courtyard dining hidden away behind the IXL Henry Jones Art Hotel. A bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. Great for summer or winter dining alike.

Jam packed is a great place to meet friends for brunch or an informal lunch, the coffees are consistently fantastic, and the atrium area of the IXL/Henry Jones complex is possibly the best place in Hobart to spend a sunny winter's day (all the enjoyment of being outside without the biting wind). Beware though the kitchen was closed at 3.00 on one visit due to staff shortages, so don't leave it too late for lunch. Their giftshop has a range of quirky kitchen utensils, lollies (some novelty confectionery for the kids), and various other Tasmanian food goodies perfect for tourists. If you have a Hobart Advantage Card, you'll score 10% off purchases from the gift area too.
