This is the worst backpackers resort I've ever stayed and I've stayed in a lot of backpackers resorts! Hopefully it's had a makeover by now and some cleaners in

The Islander is a great resort for someone with a low budget, may not be very luxurious but you get that for cheap hotels, stayed in this resort for a few nights earlier this year and was what I expected, very clean swell, staff were friendly and welcoming

Stayed here for a friends birthday with a bunch of mates and it was just meh. I know it is a back packer resort but it needs a serious update! BRICK EVERYWHERE BLEH. Didn't feel comfortable - definitely not a luxurious resort but good price.

This is backpacker heaven! For a budget traveller this accommodation provides a bit of luxury for weary feet. I have stayed in the dorms of the backpacker section of this hotel / hostel, and couldn't believe how spoilt I felt! The dorm I stayed in had large windows with spectacular ocean views, the rooms were large than the norm, but the biggest surprise was that even as hostel guests we were allowed to use the swimming pool and other amenities of the adjoining Islander Hotel Resort. The rooms and amenities were immaculate, and the location was great, walking distance to all local attractions and yet in a peaceful setting. Definitely worth a look!
