Yes - the original online savers. I love the fact you can access your account online and via the phone. It's also backed by a big bank so there's lots of peace of mind.
Great interest rates, no fees, good range of products, keeps you up to date with all things financial. very quick to pass on interest rate rises, which when saving is a good thing
Approximate cost: $0
I'm a big fan of ING. Great interest rates and no fee's. Excellent way to save money having the account seperate to my daily spendings. No problems signing up and the website is really easy to use. Assuming the bank never fails (as it is not government guarenteed) i'm glad to have an account with them! Love getting statements and seeing what interest I have accumulated for no hard work.
ING is an online banking service. They do not have branches or bank cards which is why there are no bank fees. You link your bank account with the ING account and can organise a regular deposit easily via the ING web site. Managing the account is easy and if you need to call customer service they are always friendly and helpful. Transferring money always takes approximately 24hrs so keep that in mind. I use my account as a savings account that I can forget about and access in emergencies, or save for special items/projects. I also have my tax refund directly deposited into my ING account - I figure if I don't see it then I won't miss it and I can access it if necessary.
