My husband and I were really looking forward to our stay but it turned out to be really dissapointing, the staff were really not engaging or did not seem to be ibterested, we were not informed of all that the hotel had to offer and not asked how our stay was. Th rooms were atequate but small. The view was great but thats about all. As it was our first wedding anniversary we walked away dissapointed. We wrote a detailed complaint letter only for it to never be answered.

I'd be interested to see some more recent reviews of the Hydro Majestic as I haven't been there since I moved to Qld 7 years ago. It's one of my favourite places in the Blue Mountains. I've attended a couple of seminars there and also stayed there for a celebratory weekend after I completed my Masters Degree. My experiences were all very positive, however I'm a sucker for history and easily pleased :)

Stopped in based on it's reputation. Freezing day, but as soon as you are inside, you could feel the warmth of not only the massive log fire, but warmth of the beautiful charm of this hotel. Morning tea consisted of sumptuous fresh hot scones and tea. Better than granny used to make.

Approximate cost: $180
