Good still.
Went there recently and had a plate of sweet and sour pork with rice and a beef tendon hot pot.
What came out was more beef brisket, so not sure they know the difference. We asked and they said it was definitely tendon. Some funny tendon if you ask me.
But it's good, it's quick and it's tasty.

Still love the fact they have the roast pig on weekends and their duck wings are good for a nibble.
Usually I get the roast duck noodle soup. They do that very well, but next time I go there, I'm having the beef on crispy fried noodle. I had that once before and it's left a good memory

The problem with their duck is not the taste - the taste is super delicious. The problem is that it is SO bony. Many places serve the duck so as to remove the bone, or cut it so as to mitigate the discomfort of trying to deal with the awful bones.

I do like the taste, and the price is good, but when you spend so long de-boning it, you feel as if they've left half the job undone for you to do!

They do some good stuff, but it's not fabulous.
The ducks are reasonable and they have a lot of options.
The people there look genuine enough what with the chef coming out to eat and smoke. Not the most attractive thing to customers.
But they cook something that's ok. Also, their staff are only ok with English. Some don't understand Cantonese either, which is shocking coz a lot of Adelaide Chinese people speak only Cantonese.

Went there a couple of times for lunch. and ordered the beef belly meal once and QQB port once. The qantity is quite good for lunch, but they served sooooo fast both times which made me think the meal wan't cooked but just microwaved. The serves was bad, bad, bad! the girls working in there just stand behind the counter and chat all the time instead of work. When I went to the counter to pay, they were still chating. She asked me what I had and told me how much I should pay, then turn to another girl and kept chatting. She took the money and gave me change without saying a word to me or even looked at me but didn't stop chatting with the girl next to her.

Approximate cost: $10

Went there for the first time for lunch with a colleague for her birthday. I ordered the suckling pig with rice. I was really looking foward to the dish.

It came promptly as expected. However, the wait between my meal arriving and my colleague's meal was 15minutes. It is ok if we weren't on our lunchbreak.

When our meals finally arrived and started tucking in. I was so disappointed with the pork. It was chewy at best. There was no crunch or crispyness to the crackle. The rice was the worst of all. Being an asian place, you would think they master their rice cooking skills. The rice was gluggy and just gross!

I would not go back there in a hurry

Approximate cost: $9.00

I've bought the duck as takeaway and it is absolutely delicious. The skin was yummy and they chop it up for easy serving.

Their roast port is quite dry as it seems as though they cook a whole batch of it and leave it there for the rest of the day to sell instead of cooking portions throughout the day making it fresher. The staff aren't that friendly either and don't really speak english.

OK, so I may be a bit biast here, as Hong Fat speciaizes in meat dishes whereas I'm a vegetarian, and their vegetarian menu consists of only three or four dishes. Their bean curd with rice was nice, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed his roast duck with rice. Their prices are extremely low considering the quality of their food - as though they're competing with the international food court around the corner rather than other stand alone restaurants. Good service, tasty food, great price!
