The Hinterland is a great local place to get a meal and relax. They advertise on the shopper dockets (vouchers where you can buy one meal get the next for $5-7) so although the meals seem a bit pricey if you can grab one of those it is a great deal. The food is always great every time I go though - especially the garlic bread!

The drink prices have increased so much we have started going elsewhere! It's $7.20 for a scooner of apple cider ($5 elsewhere) and over $5 for a beer now.
The food is still yummy (and worth it if you have a voucher) but they need to upgrade the menu badly.
The formerly awesome bruschetta has really plummeted in quality as well – but increased in price.

Food was absolutely superb, price was reasonable and the staff excellent. You cannot fault the staff in friendliness or efficiency. A great dining experience.

The staff are friendly and professional, the food is always good but prices have gone up. The gaming room is big and the restaurant is nicely decorated.

Approximate cost: $20

I've never had a bad meal at the Hinterland.
This is where I take all my visiting relatives if they want something a little special but don't want to head into Surfers/Broadbeach.

I was invited to a seminar that was held at the Hinterland Hotel/motel and I enjoyed the experienced and was comfortable enough to walk around, get a drink or play pokies. The atmosphere is bright and busy almost like a nightclub.

Approximate cost: $15

Food used to be unreal! Best food for good value but I think they either have a new chef or their chef doesn't care anymore... Not nice at all. Tasteless actually. We went there for lunch recently and my mum had chicken soup. She didn't eat it as it was quite fatty (?) and tasted really bad. Don't waste your money.

Approximate cost: $30
