Installation of spilt air conditioning system to service 18 sq home by HeatCool. Company rep arrrived on time, quoted. I accepted and job was completed within a week on time and to a high standard. I was consulted in all aspects of duct outlet & outdoor unit location. Very happy and very cool!

Charged $460 to replace a twenty metre cable from controller to Braemar ducted heating unit, taking a whole thirty minutes to determine the issue on first visit, returning two days later to do the actual work which in my view should have been easily completed within the original call out. Poor value and service, office staff have unpleasant attitude. Not recommended.

Have had this group out a few times when my ducted heating and air con units stopped working. They fixed the problem but the service people are not that friendly and they have tried to overcharge me. Once they tried to double the call out charge and have also over quoted on a new unit.

We had a loud noise (sounded like loose fan belt) coming from our old (1970's?) unit. Glenn from HeatCool International came out (really happy, chirpy fellow - lovely guy) & took apart the unit. A part was loose & the fan belt was cracked. We asked him to clean out the unit as it's very old & dusty, which he did with no fuss. He tightened up the part that was loose. Replacement fan belt had to be ordered & was replaced by Glenn about 1 week later. Very happy with the work & service. Would recommend them & definitely would use again

Approximate cost: $209 for repair & clean out of unit. $127 for subsequent replacement of fan belt

I rang HeatCool to service my Lennox ducted heat and cool reverse-cycle air conditioner and to change the batteries of the control unit. The lady on the phone was very helpful and pleasant. She gave me a choice of morning or afternoon attendance of the technician on the next day. She advised me of the charges which were $176 call out fee which included 30 minutes service. The technician arrived withing the arranged time period and was pleasant and polite. I advised him that as there was nothing wrong with the unit I expected that he would be able to undertake the service within 30 minutes. He changed the batteries and checked the gas levels and other settings of the unit. He did ask to see the return air ducts but I advised him that my husband cleaned them regularly. I have been caught before when the technician started cleaning these without even telling me that this was what he was going to do and it's alot of money to pay for something that I could even do myself. I stayed with him the whole time but did not see him cleaning the unit at all. Perhaps it was not needed but in the the past the technicians did do that.

Rang HeatCool again today as my Brivis ducted heating would no start up. Very friendly operator arranged for attendance this very afternoon. A very charming man turned up on time, did a safety check and fixed the fault on the 20 year old unit in 40 minutes. Had to pay for the extra time and a spare part but still less than I have paid in the past just for regular service.

I called HeatCool to arrange a service and repair for my ducted heating unit. The person on the phone was very helpful, and noted the 3 requests I had: 1 - to service the unit, 2 - to fix a problem where the fan wouldn't turn off, 3 - to repair the ignition system. The job was booked for the same day.

Two technicians arrived in the afternoon while my wife was at home (I was told they would call 30 min before, but this didn't happen). They asked my wife what was wrong with the unit and she told them that the fan wouldn't turn off. Fixing the fan turned out to be a simple case of adjusting a switch, and they spent 10 min at the job. There is no evidence that they serviced the unit or fixed the ignition system (it still doesn't spark). Their invoice just says that the fan was fixed.

I called the next day to ask what work was actually done and was told me that the unit was left in working order, and some cleaning was done. I think what happened was that the job information was never passed on to the technicians, and they just fixed the problem that my wife told them about. So from my perspective, I didn't get the 30 min of labour I was expecting for my $160 + GST, and I still have a unit that needs a proper service and the ignition system fixed. HeatCool responded quickly, but overall I was left disappointed with the service I received for the price.

First used this company March '09 to service & report on a gas hot water system, an older gas stove/oven and a gas log heater, being impressed with the thoroughness of the work done.
Now I have used them again to check, clean and service a gas wall heater. Technician arrived when arranged, was polite and thorough. Checked and rechecked CO2 levels until he was satisfied this older heater was running at optimum levels. Totally cleaned flue and fan, ensuring another few years use from this 1973 unit.
Personally recommended.

I RANG THE ABOVE COMPANY TO HAVE OUR DUCTED HEATING REPAIRED AS IT WAS BLOWING OUT COLD AIR DURING WINTER WHICH ISNT REALLY GOOD. THE GUY CAME OUT FOUND OUT WHAT WAR REQUIRED TO REPAIR IT WHICH HE SAID HE COULDNT GET TILL THE NEXT DAY. THE DUCTED HEATING WAS 15 YEARS OLD. HE CAME BACK REPAIRED IT THE NEXT DAY.
