I just finished my Cert III in early childhood education and care with HBA. Before that I already got a PhD in ECE but a PhD degree is not recognised by ACECQA as being eligible to teach in child care service.

The strength of HBA is that the assessors are very reachable and supportive. They also appear very professional. I was especially fortunate to have Jessica Bray to mark the most of my workbooks. She is a fantastic trainer with great patience and strong commitment to help me throughout the journey.

To me a weakness of HBA is that there are too many assignments in the workbooks. Sometimes the assignments are too small but many which can cause us learners to lose the focus or the whole picture. This, however, may be a common problem for all providers which offer online programs. I heard my colleagues who said he did not have so many trivial assignments. He went to his institute physically not online.

Overall it is an great experience studying with HBA.

Cert IV WHS. World class teaching and training. Julian D. delivered our training professionally and with understanding. Very varied learner group and Julian was inclusive, supportive and patient. Went above and beyond the usual role providing accessibility to learners with the provision of his personal mobile and email, encouraging learners to contact him for support a/h and through the time allowed externally for completion. Julian further contacted learners throughout the training period to asertain their progression and offer guidance. Julian showed that he wanted learners to succeed and is an asset, friendly and capable educator. Will use again for future training requirements.

I successfully completed Cert IV TAE with Julian as my trainer and assessor. He had an excellent knowledge of the subject and was an outstanding instructor, he had a professional approach to teaching and made the course easy to understand.
