NYE & my friend introduced me to Haveli as 'the best Indian I've had'
... while Indian has been my top cuisine since returning from a tour, I knew I couldnt go wrong ;) I tried their beef tikka masala [$16.90], my friwns had their chicken roganjosh [$16.90] with a chicken & chilli naan [$4.20] + mixed pickles [2.50] -- all takeaway, And they gave us large takeaway box of rice too. I also really liked the bright colored sari's used for decor draped all over the ceiling, so dining in may have been a nice experience ;) the waitresses were friendly :D both curries were delicious, servings were very generous - we had enough leftover for another meal!!
I found the naan not chilli enough for me, though still nice, and the pickles were a bit too sour :[

total bill of $44.5 for the 2 of us for what was effectively, 2 meals, = good deal!! :D I'd happily go back next time I'm around to try their other tasty delights ;)

Approximate cost: $15

We purchased a Living Social Voucher for a meal for two, and as we had never been there before, were not expecting it to be more than average. But we were very pleasantly surprised. All the food was wonderful (especially their Tandoori Chicken entree) and the service was friendly and helpful. Naan bread is best I've ever had we are so full oh my god, we loved it.

Decided to drop in for lunch on a cold wet day. The food is good, very tasty. We had Butter chicken and Chicken Korma. Asked for two garlic Naan thinking that they would be the ones done in the tandoor oven. Not so. Plain naan sprinkled with garlic powder and cooked in a frypan. Still tasted OK, but not as good as the real thing. Curries came in two small balti pans, with a small serving of tumeric/saffron rice. Luckily, we're not big eaters. If you are, you'll be disappointed in the serving size.
Also had two complimentary poppadom's before the meal.

The place is a bit of a fire hazard with light, brightly coloured sarongs hanging from the ceiling creating booths, and we both commented that the place smelt musty...... it may have just been all the rain around.

Quite expensive lunch for the size..... $43 for 2 naan's and 2 curries. Especially when they had the same curries on their lunch special board. But we were quickly informed that the lunch 'specials' were only for take aways..... not that it mentioned it anywhere on the board. It felt like they wanted to extract top dollar out of us rather than have two people come in and sit down and have two lunch specials at $7.95 each.

I'd go back again......... but only for the take aways.

Approximate cost: $43 for two
