Have ordered a few times, soup used to be good but is now almost tasteless. The noodles had obviously been cooked in the morning then left to go cold and hard.
The 'Chinese broccoli' is spinach, and the'oyster sauce' is clearly a teaspoon of oyster sauce mixed with about a cup of water.
The lemongrass chicken is a few fatty bits of chicken in some indiscriminate sauce, no lemongrass to be seen, not even a hint of its flavour. The fried rice is oily, like really oily. The 'salt and pepper tofu' has no salt or pepper, in fact it has no seasoning of any kind at all and was worthy of only the bin

Seriously go elsewhere. Footscray is full of good food places, this is not one of them, perhaps it used to be, but they are not now and have zero respect for your money. Spend it elsewhere.

Tasty traditional Vietnamese noodle, rice and pho dishes mixed in with some surprisingly good Chinese specials - the deep fried chicken ribs coated in egg yolk are a must

Great food on a highly populated strip of restaurants in Footscray. Well priced, quick service. We checked out a few of the restaurants before we chose this one - it had nearly every seat taken - so clearly it was well liked. A diverse menu provided lots to choose from. Great prices too.

Been here a few times. I either order the chicken stir fried crispy noodles or the crispy skin chicken rice. Both are quite nice with a decent amount of chicken. I've been to some restaurants that give a tiny amount of chicken which I find ridiculous in comparison to how much noodles or rice you are getting.

The chicken isn't overcooked and really nice to eat. For the noodles they come out beautifully crispy with that lovely crunch to it, and the crispy skin chicken is amazing as well. Some restaurants go overboard to the point the skin is almost burnt and quite hard to eat, this skin is very crispy and very nice to eat.

I would definitely eat here again, though I should probably try more than just my two favourite dishes. The food also comes out pretty fast after you've ordered it and tea is complementary on your table.

Hao Phong is one of my favorite restaurants in this strip of Footscray as it provides a diverse menu with a wide range of choices, as well as being at great prices, conveniently located and fast friendly service! I highly recommend the Special Combination Broken Rice dish, a Vietnamese dish with a heap of other great ingredients in it!
