The hampstead has a great menu with a load of different options. The best part I would have to say is their great salad and veggie bar. Its great for them nights when you can't be bothered cooking, to head out and have a nice main meal and the choice of loads of different veggies and salad. Good atmosphere and the staff are quick with service.

Usually when I eat at a pub for the first time a good way to get a feel for it is by ordering either a burger or schnitzel, unfortunately I ordered the burger. The burger bun was chewy, obviously just defrosted and the burger patty was close to inedible, no flavour what so ever. The mood from the service staff and the rest of the restaurant was like we'd crashed somebody's wake. I've got nothing positive to say about this one.

One of my favourite eateries. Have the carvers and then the salad and vegetables all rosted to perfection. No point in cooking a roast at home when they do it so well. Fresh veges and a different roast every week

This place has been advertised a lot on the radio lately and although it's a bit of a drive we visited a couple of weeks ago.
Have to say the chips (which are very important in a pub) were some of the worst chips ever. The salad and veg buffet was quite yummy though. Service was average.

I have been going to the Hampstead Hotel for years. I have always been a huge fan of the salad and vegetable bar. On my most recent visit, my first in a long while, things had been upgraded. You no longer line up when you arrive, order and grab a table ... you are now taken to your table, and orders taken at the table. They have certainly gone a little more up market. I usually enjoy my meals here, but found my last couple were average, but the vegetable bar is still fantastic. The value for money isnt too bad, not really any different to other hotels, and they have a decent sized menu. The staff are always very friendly and they are certainly not slow when it comes to bringing your meals out.

I have been here many times as the food has always been very nice and the salad/vegetable bar is excellent. The asian dishes are lovely here as it seems as they have a dedicated chef for them. I have had many lovely meals here. The only thing to be aware of is that you need to book - it can get very busy and I have had to eat in the sports bar several times.

Approximate cost: $18

Always good service and tasty food. The salad bar is fresh and everything appears clean and well presented. The kids can have a children's menu and a simple dessert like icecream.

Approximate cost: $25
