Recently working in Ballarat on rail, our work team stumbled across Gus’ Take Away. I can honestly say I have not experienced a ‘true’ burger with the lot for many years. Gus’ burger with the lot literally sent me back in time. It was exceptional AND fantastic value for money also supported by great service from friendly staff. A BIG thanks to all at Gus’ !!!

Great friendly service always clean shop , quick , great value there $20 family pack one of the best around the fish is always of a decent size chips crunchy dim Sims blistered just right and the potato cakes also have a nice crisp batter

Prices here are much better then other takeaways in the area. Good size fish, and the chips are very genourous in servings. Staff are friendly, and service pretty quick.

Very dissapointed. The food was not good at all. The chips tasted like they have been just reheated. The staff on the other hand were lovely.

They do have very cheap and reasonable prices. The store and cooking areas are always clean. Staff are friendly enough too. The main thing that kills Gus's fish and chips is inconsistency in quality. Sometimes you get great fish and tasty hamburgers... other times you get stale oil flavoured fried food and stone cold dim sims. Me personally its been one fail too many, but who knows you might get them on a 'good' day and have a great meal.
