On a recent trip we discovered Mulla Villa. Tucked away in mystical Wollombi Valley, Mulla Villagives you the best of both worlds. They offer the history of the nineteenth century with the luxury of today.

Mulla Villa is an original 1840 convict built sandstone Magistrate's house with four spacious bedrooms, all with private facilities and two with spa-bath en-suites. We indulged in a luxurious spa-bath filled with pure, fresh rainwater.

Mulla Villa is unique and is set on 100 acres of tranquil bush land with numerous bush walks through the natural rainforest and working farmland.

There is an impressive open log fire in the original servants quarters and it is air-conditioned for comfort on the warmer nights.

We experienced the taste of Caroline's home-cooked meals, lovingly prepared from organic produce from the estate.
We were able to capture the magic, just as the first settlers would have, dining under the stars on the wide sweeping verandah. There is also a pool amongst the rustic gardens.

There is no doubt that we will stay there again, hopefully under the current ownership of Caroline Maul and her mother Francesca

Guesthouse Mulla Villa is For Sale for the first time in 25 years. The opportunities are endless.

We recommend this fine establishment to all travellers who wish to experience old Australia.
