I made the error of choosing Jay Goodman of Green Lotus Tattoo to do my first ever tatt. Big mistake. After botching the design on my pristine virgin skin, I gave him a pretty hefty tip (close to 200% of the asking price) with the expectation that he would fix the ink-vomit left on my leg. In the end, I paid a *real* artist to rectify the damage (that kind of looked like a six-year-old had a muck-around with some permanent marker), so what should have been a pretty inexpensive and basic design ended up costing me close to a grand to get fixed up. Lesson learned: before letting some stranger carve permanent ink into your body, DO YOUR RESEARCH kids!

I've just recently had some work done here. I have an old and much loved tattoo and wanted something to 'frame" it. I had a vague idea of what I wanted but nothing definite. Tashi went through some art books with me and came up with a really beautiful design which was better than anything I could've imagined. I really had the sense she understood what I was getting at, and she guided me about what wouldn't work as well as what would. I was really happy with the result. My partner had work done there as well and is going back for more.

Gary did my first. He is a great guy and i felt comfortable with him. It felt really professional and i felt safe getting it done there. I'm excited about getting another one with Gary. I got an appointment the day i rang which was great. I think the people make the place.

Got my first tattoo (a large one) with Gary from this studio. Very experienced & professional crew - from the phone call to go in to discuss my tatt to the final few minutes of finishing the tatt. Whole experience was fantastic & they were very kind & explained all procedures in great detail. HIGHLY RECOMMEND & I WILL BE GETTING ANOTHER TATT IN 09 FROM ANY OF THE STAFF THERE!

Tashi who did my tattoo made me feel very comfortable, and i liked the studio's open plan feel, so it is good if you have any claustrophobia issues! I was happy with the outcome of my tatt, it healed quite quickly with no bad reactions. I am going back for another one soon!

I had my first tattoo there. They made me feel comfortable and the tattoo is really good, and well done. I had little reaction, and it hasn't even started to fade.

I had some fabulous work done by Tashi in February this year. She designed some native flowers for me based on photographs as both of us struggled to find botanical drawings of match head flowers. I loved the design so much, I decided to get the piece done twice on both sides of my spine. The resulting work is beautiful; everyone who has seen it has been impressed by the choice of colour and design. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend discussing what you want and having a clear idea of why you want the tattoo.

I was tattooed by tashi 4weeks ago, the work is beautiful, she was very profesional and I will definatly go back again. I have a large mandala on by forearm by her. my brother is also having work done by her, a dragon she drew for him, he loves it. mabe you were not clear in your description, and if you wanted it blue why did you sit there and let her do it grey.

It was a disaster and I would not recommend that anyone be tattoo'd by Tashie! The photo in my profile is of some cherry blossom and clouds? I actually asked for blue pale clouds but Tashie suggested that she would do pale grey "Japanese Style" clouds as the ones on her arms???? I think it looks like I have been run over by a truck while holding a bunch of flowers!

thats a terrible shame- after getting my feet done i have had a finger & started quite a bit of my sleeve and i am always getting compliments on the work.

i highly highly recommend Tam- maybe she can fix your tattoo?

Sounds like I drew the short straw seems like Tam might know what she is doing? If you get a chance get Tam to have a look at the photo and see if she has any ideas cause not many other shops want to touch it (it is pretty wack!)

Its really horrible when things dont turn out the way you want them....I'm the same, just had work done from there, and well, its nothing what I expected...you know its funny..I ran into a guy whilst out and I asked him about his Tattoo, we struck up a conversation about them, he asked me where I was getting mine done, I told him......
He told me to STAY AWAY from green lotus, its shit........and you know what, I think he might just be right...............

Green Lotus have just opened. I went in to get 2 feet tattoos and they are absolutely perfect! Not a line out of place and the cost for the tattoos was very reasonable. My boyfriend also went there recently and went to a different artist and got as good treatment and value.

I would avoid this studio at all costs. My experience was an absolute disaster and I was tattoo'd by the owner (Tashie)! I have since discussed getting the work redone with other tattooists and my only option is to attend several laser sessions before commencing any re-work. I visited about 4 other more reputable tattoo studios and all artists concur that the work done by Green Lotus is extremely bad from design to execution.
