Delicious pastry/crepe like pockets filled with all sorts of scrumptious fillings. It reminds me of a paratha except with a much thinner exterior that is more pastry-like than bread like. In terms of fillings, there is a variety from vegetarian options (ie. cheese & spinach, or beans & veg) to lamb, chicken and other meat based options.
Perfect for lunch, particularly on a crisp autumn day. At $10 a gozleme, it's a bargain. And the servings are so generous that you will have a decent portion left over for a mid afternoon or pre-dinner snack.
