Lovely Op Shop, crammed with some great stock. I've found the staff extremely helpful too.

I found the prices great compared to other op shops and the ladies that volunteer are really nice

Good place if you don't upset the staff by buying something they wanted!

I went to Gerties Op Shop and I do not regret it. There was a wide range of items and at an affordable price. I strongly recommend this shop to everyone going to Chirnside Park.

Gertie's is run by a committee who are in actual fact ineffectual as the President of this committee is a person who seems to dictate and is extremely territorial! There also seems to be a thread of do as I say, not as I do!

All of this is a shame as the shop attempts to support some very worthy charities. There seems to be some dubious activity by the President and at least 1 of the volunteers of this Op shop... Needs looking into I would suggest!

Having said all of this , we did buy a number of items.

I went to look for some second hand black leather shoes whilst shopping at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre. I was told of this Op shop from a friend who worked in the Shopping Centre.

She told me that the shop was at the back of the Shopping Centre car park. I was quite surprised to see an Op Shop let alone any shop at the back of a Shopping Centre car park.

When I walked into the shop I found it to be of a reasonable size and the shop was very well set out.

I went to the back and found heaps of shoes of various sizes. I tried on a pair and they fit me quite well. These shoes were to be for my child for a Production. I went to pay for them and they only cost $4.00 which I thought was very reasonable.

If you are looking for an Op Shop then check this one out. Unfortunately though I didn't ask for their phone number. I have tried to find a link everywhere but haven't. I could only find the above email address which mentions Gertie's as an interesting place to visit.

I would definitely recommend this Opportunity Shop.
