Normally you would expect as the first order of the day that the staff are fresh and ready to roll. Not so. Verdant has great potential as the menu is not the typical options you find everywhere else but does not back this up with quality. We ordered the pancakes and the omelette. The pancakes were bland, tough and not light as they are supposed to be. The bacon was not cooked as per our order specification. The omelette was chewy, tough and the cheese had not melted sufficiently so that there were big globs of sticky, stringy cheese throughout. Both meals were only half eaten, prompting the waitress to enquire if there were problems. We explained we were disappointed, and she went to find a manager to let them know. After 15 minutes of waiting, we left, vowing not to return, and also to use WOMO to have our say.

The GardenWay restaurant is called Verdant Restaurant. Went there on Sunday for breakfast and you are surrounded by the amazing array of plants flowers that is the garden centre. The waiters must of been lost in the garden's beauty as they could do with a pen and order pad to remember our order correctly.

It's no big deal but what came out instead of scramble eggs for my friend was poached eggs, although they were happy to redo her order, she declined. The poached eggs looked really fresh, well formed size. I ordered a skinny cappuccino, but what came out was a really frothy one, which I automatically realised it was full cream.

This restaurant has no direct competition to other surrounding restaurants hence they can set their own standards. With the toast, usually you get those fluffy thick white pieces of buttered variety, but here you get the normal sliced bread and they give you those do it yourself butter portions. The coffee was good for sunday, not too strong, rather weak, luckily that's how I like my coffee on the weekend.

Found this place from the Entertainment Book voucher.

We were turned away at 2pm because they had already turned off their coffee machines, despite walking past a coffee/cake deal sign. The setting is lovely and relaxing, but we didn't get to enjoy it.

Came here to the cafe. Nice little place where you could enjoy a relaxing breakfast and coffee under a shade and with a view of a wonderful garden of plants. Also has interesting homewares to sell.

Gardenway has a reasonable selection of plants. There are a great many homeware products available at very reasonable prices. It is a fantastic place to buy a gift that would suit any woman. Also there is a really good cafe in the garden section.

Gardenway is a really nice place to go if you're interested in doing some shopping for home/garden products and getting something to eat while you're there. It's mainly a garden centre, but also has a massive shop full of high quality (and priced as such) homewares, and of course the cafe. I found the food at the cafe to be nice enough, not spectacular but nice. The coffee is also nice. The service is excellent, the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is nice because the cafe is set amongst the plants so you can look around at the plants and whatnot while you eat.

Approximate cost: $15.00

Great place for Sunday lunch or afternoon tea with girl friends. Has a great gift shop area with everything you could imagine to decorate the house and garden. Great Plant selection in the nursery section, although a little on the expensive side, has a range of unusal and hard to get plants. Has a great cafe and the food is too dye for again a little expensive but very nice

The atmosphere of this place is truly wonderful - as it is located amongst a beautiful garden. At the same time, the service provided here is at its best. I enjoy the food, therefore you will see me having breakfast every Saturday morning.

Approximate cost: $15
