A lovely rustic, homely yet highly professional restaurant. The menu is highly seasonal and changes accordingly to what is in season and what the kitchen is able to source on the market at its freshest and most abundant state. Our experience was made extremely warm and welcoming by the owner/waiter. Our table had delicious plates such as Roman spring vegetable stew filled with peas and broad beans in a creamy white sauce (as opp to a boring tomato based one), creamy pea risotto rich with flavours of butter and parmesan, roasted beef short ribs with cauliflower purée and baby onions, and to finish a dessert of ricotta, pine nut and chocolate crostata, served with a berry sauce and pistachios. Nothing knockout, but superb execution and wonderful wonderful full flavoured and fresh produce.
