Our 'Once in a lifetime' US trip marred with the unknown purchase of non refundable tickets!! We made a change to our trip 80 days out from departure, were advised we should get most of the ticket price ($1100) back but should be prepared to loose some, OK we said "this is our one and only lifetime holiday." Rather then transfer to a latter flight with the same airline it was suggested we take another airline, OK we said and paid the difference. Well we had our trip (Flight Center arranged Disney pass issued in wrong name!) came back then over a period of SEVEN (7) MONTHS and countless emails asking and reply's of 'working on it' and suspicious responses on refund status I asked for our canceled ticket numbers. I took these directly to the US airline. Within 12 Hrs I was advised Flight center purchased Non refundable tickets!! WHAT!! WHAT? At NO time were we advised at the time of booking, At NO time was it pointed out in any terms and conditions, and. AT NO TIME DID THEY EVER ADMIT TO OR ADVISE IN THE SEVEN MONTHS OF MY REFUND FOLLOW UP THAT'S WHAT THEY PURCHASED. For some reason they avoided telling me, WHY? Is it because you did something wrong? Did you breach a consumer sales act? are you avoiding liability? or is this your standard operating practice? "cheapest airfares guaranteed" I have kept all the correspondence between us just in case the need arises.

Lets all do a bit of social and coffee break research. Ask your friends, family & colleagues have they EVER been told by ANY Flight Center outlet "we purchase non refundable tickets as a means of keeping cost low and here are the implications of those actions" I hope you the reader don't get caught, ask the question or see if you're told if choosing the Flight Center for your next trip, WE most certainly will NOT. As it is we got taxes back. But how disappointing, avoidance, deception and all for $1100... wow, I hope your shareholders are proud and you meet or exceed projected P&L this Fin Yr. It's all about integrity right? oh wait...

Booked with this shop for many years one of their regular customers, service originally was top class but as dropped over the years.when you book and your told we will email you but repeatedly forget,that is bad service or things that don't go to plan without an apology doesn't make for a good experience.Service needs to be brought back to top class again.
