Local run tourist information centre. 5 kilometres from Launceston Airport. Very well situated. Operates out of a historic building, which also has a display on the local area and small souvenir shop. Provides Internet access/phone/photocopier (charge) and tourism publications/limited booking service. Good chance to chat with a "local and get to know about the area. Be warned if you ask about their local hero - Lt Col. Harry Murray VC, CMG, DSO and Bar, plan to be there for a while! Runs on donations which are voluntary (other than where they have to charge to cover costs apparently). They also seem to be able to give some advice on things to see & do in the local area, and further afield

Approximate cost: $varies
