Surprisingly decent food, where I had initially thought it was more of a bar. Decent servings for a good price, and a good range of beers to choose from

Amazing parmas and great European beer selection. Bit pricier than your average pub but the food is delicious.

I went to this place for a friends birthday and I thought it was fantastic. There were lots of drinks to choose from and a different social atmosphere on each level. I loved the band that was playing and it was quick and easy to be served at the bar. It is also in a great location and accessible by public transport so everyone can have a fun night.

I bought a living social voucher for a seafood platter & bier paddle tasting- so glad I did: otherwise I would have never found out about this place- right in the heart of the city. Great beer & very reasonably priced. Food was wonderful & friendly service. Will be going back

After walking in at 5pm on a Saturday (with a footy match nearby at the MCG that night), we walked to the bar, only to discover 8-10 people waiting there for a drink. There was one staff member on the phone, and we could see a chef in the kitchen. Everybody was confused as to why nobody was serving them, and a couple of people who wanted a meal walked in, sat down, then got up and walked out a few minutes later.
Turns out the gas on their beer taps wasn't working so nobody could have tap beer.
Once we'd established that, there was still only the one bar girl working, until about half an hour later when a second came in. This second bartender had to be talked through everything by the first one, so I'm not sure whether he had just started (first day?) or he didn't usually do bar work there. Either way, we eventually ordered our meals (chicken parma).
The parma was actually very good, thick piece of chicken with Maccas-style fries and salad.
Overall the food was good and the service time after we ordered was not bad (20 minutes).
Would go back again for the food but the service left a lot to be desired, and hopefully this isn't the case next time.

Perhaps we went on the wrong night as this place was highly recommended. The night we went (during the recent Air Show) all the lights were apparently broken as we had to use the light from our mobile phones to see enough to read the menu. Menu was extensive and food plentiful and delicious once it finally arrived. Waited nearly 60 mins after ordering at the bar for it to be ready. If its service you are after then this is not the place.

This pub has the worst service I have ever come across! The food is fine and the venue is ok, but the service is horrible. I went with a group of people from work for a birthday lunch. We ordered as a group and 1 1/2 hours later when everyone had finished their meal, mine still hadn't come out! I kept nagging them and I ended up having to take over a two hour lunch break just to wait for my meal. They kept saying ten more minutes and 20 more minutes. Eventually when the food did come out it was a average meal. I wasn't even offered a soft drink why I was patiently waiting. I then emailed them and complained and heard nothing back. I think taking 2 hours to bring a meal out is unacceptable. Especially when everyone else I ordered with received theirs. I emailed them twice and not even an apology. They didn't even acknowledge they had done anything wrong. I then stupidly went back a second time for dinner with my girlfriend thinking that was just a mistake it wouldn't happen again and we went on a Wednesday night and it was not busy at all. Maybe 3 other couples and it took ever an hour again to bring our meal out, we almost missed the show we had on after dinner because it tool so long! This place is Wednesday for a beer, but I do not recommend you eat there! Unless you are happy to wait for two hours before your meal comes out! P.S. I had only ordered the burger and i don't think a burger takes that long to cook!
