Elders Mawson Lakes have appalling property management practices. I own a property which was normally let for 12 month fixed period and pays Elders 1,1 weeks. Last year, the lease has been reduced to 6 months fixed period and has been renewed few time at 6 months but Elders was still charging me the lease renewal fee same was 12 months every time. This means I am being hit twice. They were taking advantage on the landlord for easy money. I tried negotiating for reduced Elders fee but I was being manipulated to sign another 2 year property management agreement. Disgusting and appalling management practices indeed. I ended up terminating their services. I have requested few documents ie., Summary Statement, SA water invoice I have not received from them, no - they were not very helpful.

Worse the tenants were not happy on how they operate either. Both sides were not happy. Poor customer service. Certainly not recommended .

Some real estate agents take care of both their owner clients and their renters, and some view their job as being to take care of the interests of their landlords without thought for the tenants.

I didn't enjoy being a tenant under the management of Elders Mawson Lakes as despite paying rent on time, it was difficult to get support and attention when maintenance issues arose.

Our agent tried to request far more than market value price for the repair of a small accidental property damage. We'd actually contacted the agent to let them know what had happened, with an apology and with extreme willingness to do what it would take to fix the problem, and instead found ourselves fighting to get a fair price on the repair.

Pretty disappointing! I do feel that this kind of treatment does a disservice to the landlords whose properties are managed by Elders MW, because it causes good tenants to choose not to rent with them again, and having badly maintained assets causes them to age and depreciate quickly.
