As soon as i saw that new people had taken over this restaurant i was worried. The food is bad quality, service slow and the chefs are dirty and tend to cough all over the food while preparing it (as you can see the kitchen from the front of the restaurant). Will not eat here ever again. The restaurant looks to have been closed down for a while now due to food poisoning of customers.

I'm a regular here with my work collegues and the food is always amazing, my favourite is the calamari salad or butter chicken masala. Good value especially because they always have a range of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner specials as well as a 3-course special. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed and great for a quiet night out. Staff are always friendly and helpful with smiles on their faces. They're usually quick to serve as well, since my colleagues and I want to be in and out of there fast, and quality and standards are still met. Great place!!

This used to be quite a decent place for a basic, quick meal but has been disappointing of late. Wondering is there's been a change of ownership? The food hasn't been as fresh the last couple of times we've been and we probably won't be back.

Have updated their menu which reflects a better variety of foods. Service is good though they can be in a bit of a rush to serve you and get you out so the table can be set up for the next customer.
Well i wish they were in a bit of a rush to serve us. We litterally had to jump up and wave like mad to get any service at all. It was appauling.
My husband and I have been here a few times and have always had a nice meal. The staff are friendly and the food is good. It isn't far from where we live so it is convenient for us to go when we can't be bothered cooking. I have also been to eating house in Rowville. The salads are lovely and there is a nice wine from Margaret River.

We didn't eat the salads when flies started coming out on the plates. I bet you wont get your nice wine now. They had bugger all to drink today. We had to make them go to the bottle shop and get some in for us.
We had a girl's morning tea and the staff were very helpful. One of the cakes was not up to scratch according to the owner and he vlunteered to change it without being asked. Everything else was very tasty and reasonably priced. People rave about this place on a Saturday night!
Yes i can understand the RAVING about the place. I am RAVING MAD that we decided to go there. It was the most appauling place i have ever been. Meals well below average. No drinks because they had a function a few nights ago. NO SERVICE. Thumbs down to them.

Yes, it can be confirmend, it HAS CLOSED DOWN.
It actually closed down because Coles owns all of the shops in the area and the new owners could not keep up with the payments to Coles to rent the restaurant space. A lot of shops in the Lynbrook Village Shopping Complex have had to sell to new owners time and time again as they cannot keep up with payments. I'm surprised the Eating House lasted as long as it did. But it most definitely did not close because of food poisoning. it is still closed because no one else is willing to rent out such an expensive space in a low traffic area.
I was a regular here, more than once a week and I never got food poisoning.
