Best dumplings around! Price is great too. A bit slow with service but they are generally busy at nights and don't take bookings. Get there early! Pan fried pork buns are the BEST at $8.5 for 6 pieces and they are decent size.
Approximate cost: $10
wanted to try different dumplings on the street, that i hadnt tried, where i was having lunch, had to wait for a while, but it was worth waiting, not disappointed.
Approximate cost: $10
Sometimes can be busy but worth the wait! Delicious fried pork dumplings and Chinese broccoli.
This is a relatively new restaurant in busy Koornang Road Carnegie and it's definitely one worth trying. The dumplings are unbelievably good value. The pan fried steamed pork buns have a crispy base, moist pork that melts in your mouth and a delicious broth. Pan fried or steam chicken and prawn dumplings are also moist and have a delicate flavour giving an excellent balance between the chicken and prawn. They also offer stir fry dishes as well as a host of clay pot dishes. The shredded chilli pork, Chicken and Mushroom Claypot and the Salt and Pepper Calamari are highly recommended. There are also lots of vegan options. The serves are generous and the prices very reasonable, it's certainly worth a visit.
Approximate cost: $12 - $20
Fast, efficient and tasty. So cheap and yet so good. The dumplings are the best option, especially the chicken and prawn. Steamed and fried both good. Have tried a pork dish, which was too ot, but that was my fault.
If you want a cheap and tasty lunch/dinner, this is the place to go. The do the best dumplings - we have the pan fried chicken and praw or pork and the steamed pork. They are flavoursome and so juicy and moist!
We have been a few times, the most recent there were 5 of us and we ordered so much food and paid only $10 each. I highly reccomend, but be prepared to wait for a table if you go on a Friday/Saturday night.
Approximate cost: $8+
sounds good, thanks for sharing :)
This little dumpling house is a wonderful addition to Koornang road. Came here for a taste and compare to their competitor, Auntie's Dumplings just down the road. Biggest point of difference would definitely be cleanliness. I like Eastern Dumpling House's simple and clean concept. Service is similar - mainly communication barriers and lack of interest from wait staff.
Food wise- Most memorable was the Fried Pork Mini Buns. Absolutely delicious, very authentic and definitely comparable to the ones I have had in Shanghai.
Approximate cost: $10
