Rented a Mitsubishi Outlander for week whilst we were on the Gold coast recently. The car was great and very comfortable. The price was good and pick up and drop to the airport was actually 5 mins. I am happy we gave these guys a go and I will defiantly us them again.

Had a great experience renting from these guys. Price was cheap, car was clean and the staff were friendly.

The car was fine and good price, however they broke their contract to me, misled me, and then ignored me when I tried to chase it up.
I booked my car rental from Brisbane a month in advance and confirmed with credit card details. I also phoned a few days before to confirm. However at the very last minute I was told that the car I had booked was unavailable and they could provide a different, more expensive car which I would have to pay more for. I had no choice but to go ahead with the rental due to having plans already made which required a car. The man working at the Brisbane office said he would chase it up the following day and arrange a refund, but instead after that my emails were either ignored or I got very short responses saying it was not their responsibility. Business and Consumer Services in SA chased it up for me further and were on my side. However they are unable to actually enforce anything and Cut Price Car Rentals were very rude and unhelpful.
So just be careul. Even if everything is confirmed in an email and over the phone, your booking is not safe and you could end up paying more than you expect when you get the car.

I have needed some cheap car hire lately for repeated business on the Gold Coast. I took a punt with Cut Price Car Rentals since they seem to be genuinely the cheapest car hire available. For the money I have had 3 very satisfactory experiences this year and will continue to use these folks while my trips to the GC still require it. If you don't mind a few less luxury comforts than this is a great deal for a no hassle car hire.
