I flew back from Melbourne to Sydney this afternoon. I was going to grab a snack onboard the flight but the price was extortionate. So, when I landed just before 1500hrs, I was quite hungry. But I knew I was also meeting a few good mates for dinner so all I wanted was a snack or two.

I picked up my car and decided to go to one of my favourite curry places. Curry Monitor is situated on St Johns Ave in Gordon near my residence in the North Shore and within walking distance from Gordon Train Station.

I ordered an onion Bhajji ($1.50) and a Vegetarian Samosa ($2). They were both delicious and we should all really try them.

Had not been to Curry Monitor at Gordon for a while and decided to return because I am always rather impressed by the quality of their food and service. It is not overly expensive either.

I ordered the Tandoori Nan Roll today ($6). It was delicious. I walked in hungry but walked out satisfied. It was worth the money.

I recommend Curry Monitor and its Tandoori Nan Roll

Approximate cost: $9

Although the service has deteriorated.
I love the chef/owner he's so very nice. During dinner time he'd give us lunch deals. I get to see him less and less and service isn't as good. price has gone up a bit.

However still the best tasting curry in NSW, I stand by it. Chef is from a huge hotel in Mumbai, and he cooks like a boss.

Try their lunch special , 2/3 curries rice, naan bread, and a drink, you used to get yogurty salad thingy but not anymore.

This is a fantastic place on the north shore to get a nan bread. The food is always to the highest quality and the service is always with a great big smile. For a meal that is quick and cheep but will not be lacking in any flavor you are in great luck!!!

This is a very small restaurant and also operates as a take-away. We go in for the special lunch menu. There is a wide choice and the food is delicious. We get a large serve of rice and a mixture of Indian dishes, a freshly made naan bread and a drink - either a can of coke or a bottle of water. The people are very friendly and indicate they are pleased to see us.

Approximate cost: $10
