I hired Crown Plumbing after reading their great reviews. My experience, however, was somewhat different.

I asked them to investigate a gas supply issue at my home. They identified the cause to be the gas regulator which they replaced at a cost of several hundred dollars.

Unfortunately, this did not fix the problem so they suggested I contact my gas supplier to check the gas meter.

My gas supplier sent a plumber to my house who immediately spotted that the wrong gas regulator had been installed by Crown Plumbing. He was shocked to hear what I paid as the gas regulator cost less than $100. He replaced both the incorrect gas regulator and the faulty gas meter.

This fixed the problem and my gas supply was completely restored.

I called Crown Plumbing to request a refund as they had charged me to install an incorrect gas regulator and failed to fix my problem. They told me I was only entitled to a partial refund as I had to pay for their plumbers time. I ended up paying just under half the original charge.

I am still at a loss to understand what I bought for that money.

Needless to say I won’t be using Crown Plumbing again.
