This cafe was recommended to me by my accommodation venue for a morning coffee. It is located in a good central area in Williamstown.
The menu is interesting - there were lots of different food choices than your usual cafe menu items. The coffee was good and hot.
There are indoor and outdoor seating areas. The cafe has a laid back/relaxed atmosphere.
The service was friendly and relatively quick considering how busy it was on a Sunday morning.
Approximate cost: $6
Cheerful modern cafe with friendly enthusiastic staff. Food is consistently good as is the coffee
Located in the heart of Williamstown, Crowded House is one of Melbourne's best cafes. It's a welcoming space in wood tones with friendly staff (they'll remember your name!), Crowded House is a brunch spot favourite. Really busy, hence the name, and serves good food despite the crowds.
Good local cafe for a relaxing breakfast. Great breakfast menu but little pricey. Coffee was good as well. Service is excelent Definitely recommended!
Approximate cost: $15 - 25
This is set in a good area - not too far away from the Douglas Parade shops, so you can have a break here when shopping is over or between heading down to the Ferguson Street shops. Always was a good place even way back when it was the Blue Oracle Take away shop. Courtyard is nice and friendly for dogs too. Nice wooden vibe on the inside and I like the outside footpath area to watch the passing parade.
Coffee was good, if a little slow coming out on a busy day. Menu is quite interesting but a little pricey when you've got a friend and a couple of kids along too.
But certainly worth a visit.
Approximate cost: $10 - 17
Nice local cafe. Relaxed and comfortable. Standard brunch menu options (although they always have very interesting specials on offer, that always sell out very quickly!!).
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff that work here. Tables a very clean and the food is great. We're working our way through the menu! The coffee is always perfect too.
Approximate cost: $15.00
I love Crowded House!
I always get the smashed avocado and am never disappointed! I have tried to replicate it at home but it just cant be done!
Would highly recommend. Have lived in Williamstown for 20 years and this is definitely my favourite place to eat.
They have a fairy decent menu with all day breakfast running on the weekend. I got the calamari salad it was a very large salad with lots of fresh calamari in there i also got a cappuccino there the coffee was a little bitter but was drinkable. I would go back and try there other items on the menu. Also they have a nice little court yeard where you can go relax in the sun
My wife goes here all the time and raves about it so I was really looking forward to going here. We were there at lunchtime but decided to try out the breakfast menu, which had a lot of variety at reasonable prices. The missus ordered some kind of smashed avocado and feta thing that was apparently delicious. Being a simple man, I just ordered poached eggs on toast and paid another $4 for bacon too. When it came out the $4 worth of bacon translated to 2 tiny pieces of bacon, and I was floored. I couldn't believe that each piece of bacon cost me $2, and they weren't even very big pieces! It's a minor thing but it's put me off going here again. It must be said that the staff were excellent.
