i have banked with the CBA for a long time and it was just a bank to me but when my Mum died a few months ago... the way they dealt with me was outstanding, kind thoughtful and caring even though they lost money on her credit card.

Had been with them for years then wanted to move onto another bank (same as partner). When it came time for me to cancel my account, they were very rude, kept questioning why I was canceling and wouldn't close the account down until I gave them a reason. Would never go through them again
