Great local place atmosphere is ok depends some days you can have a large group of people dressed all fancy and then next time you can have all guys in work boots and flannys. Never sure what to wear due to this haha service is ok but young staff chat to their mates alot. And also the menu is very small with few options!

Nice place - the food is great, good quality and portion size. The beers are wonderful even for those that aren't into beers. The pale ale and the grand porter are my favourite. The only area I think could be improved in many options. An option for a salad or vegetarian main would be good as they all contain meat. Also the desserts are pretty ordinary.

This place is a favourite of the men in my life so I find myself here every few months or so- the cider is excellent as you'd expect from a brewery. Not just a brewery they also offer meals and drinks in both a bar, seated dining and al fresco dining setting. The pub has a nice homely sort of feel to it. The food is deffinently top notch quality and indicitive of all the great produce the yarra valley has to offer. The price reflects it of course and is a little more expensive then average but you do get what you pay for. The place can deffinently get busy, sometimes the staff can be a little slow and the last time we visited a mistake was made on our order but it was remedied as quickly and apologetically as possible.

Gets loud inside, but nice decor and atmosphere, warm and inviting. Good food, servings were fair but not too generous considering the price. Not the best value but ok, to be expected. They have a minimum for card, which wasn't advised before I ordered my second order, which was just a coffee, and they wouldn't put it through anyway either. Not a bad place to go for dinner, it was packed and noisy though, perhaps just the way it is on a Saturday but don't expect to have a quiet meal if you come here!

This was my first visit to the brewery and unfortunately, my last. The entire experience was a disappointment from the get go. It seemed as though out presence was an inconvenience to the staff. We were largely ignored upon arrival, vaguely handed some menus when we asked if we could sit outside. After about 20 minutes of being left alone we went back inside, and asked if we could have a seat inside. It took another 10 minutes before we were seated and another half hour before someone took our order. Thankfully we'd bought some drinks at the bar during one of our many waits as we hadn't been offered any, not even water. Another half hour and our starter was brought out (bread and dips), another half hour or so plus flagging down a staff member to ask where our main was, our pizza arrived.

So basically over three hours for bread & dips and one pizza, plus a drink we had to get ourselves from the bar. It wasn't even terribly busy and at no point was an apology made for all the waiting around.

On the plus side the cider was nice and refreshing on such a hot day - although I wasn't offered a pint, just given a glass of cider which isn't very enterprising.

I am all in favour of supporting local breweries but in this instance I'd recommend steering clear - buy Coldstream Brewery products if you see them in bars or stores but avoid the brewery unless you have hours to spare.

This is a great place for meeting with friends or partner. We sat outside and had one of their lovely beers and then went inside for the meal. The food was prob the best we've had in ages. The only downside was it was a bit noisy inside prob due to the unlined steel roof. But seriously the food was amazing.

a nice scenery but i think it was over priced and the food took a while to come. the service was nice and the staff were very polite and apologized about the delay. maybe it was a bad day as the food was good. maybe next time it might not be as long.

Yesterday, my family and I spent some time in the Yarra Valley visiting various places and stopped by Coldstream Brewery with the express aim of trying their cider, which had been recommended to us. The Brewery sets itself up to have a 'Cellar Door', which it apparently doesn't, since when I asked if we could do a tasting the very grumpy bar attendant told us to sit at the bar. There is, evidently, a tasting combination that you must buy, which is extraordinary since, in my experience, not one other winery or brewery in the Yarra Valley charges for tastings. In the event, we only wanted to taste the cider anyway, and I expected they would give us just that - a taste. Instead, the bar girl poured out 3 glasses of cider for which she charged me. Her manner was unpleasant and offhand. We were not inclined to stay, nor to buy anything else.

This is a pretty crummy way to represent your product, Coldstream Brewery. Go up the road to the White Rabbit brewery and take a look at how polite and professional they are there, and you might learn something. We purchased a couple of dozen bottles from them, and nothing from you. Maybe your business is so good you don't need any more customers?

Very disappointed.

I visited with my family and we all had a great time. The food is amazing, the staff really know there stuff and super friendly. I really like the way they have the bar and dining room open to each other, but separate at the same time. Lots of a dark wood, warm fires and did I mention AMAZING food! Just watch out for the famous cinder ... it does have a habit of creeping up on you,

This is a great little brewery. It has awesome Tapa's food, and the beers are delicious. The range is growing, but what they have is of a high standard. Warm cosy fires, and an outside area that is continuing to develop. the staff are very knowledgeable about their product and enjoy sharing their passion with the customers. Great for big or small groups.
