I love this little bar, although I haven't been back since you were no longer able to smoke.

They have a small range of drinks and a small menu - pizzas, sandwiches, and snack food like nuts. Always friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. There's also a louder bar upstairs open on weekends which can be useful if you want to kick on later at night

My husband and I loved this place, such delicious food, fabulous relaxing atmosphere, we didn't want to leave. Excellent coffee, yummy sub/rolls/sandwiches overflowing with delicious mouthwatering fresh ingredients, my husband especially enjoyed the pulled pork. The smokey potato salad is an absolute must. Prices are very reasonable, we returned a few days later with friends. Definitely recommend.

My friend and I stumbled across Chuckle Park on a recent trip to Melbourne, and I have a feeling it will now become a regular hangout for us both.

We were looking for somewhere to cool down and relax when we found this diner/bar hidden away, in true Melbourne fashion, in one of the CBD's laneways. The whole business is run out of a caravan, decorated with a giant Mother Mary figurine hidden amongst an array of fake flowers; The tables and chairs line the sides of the laneway, in a manner that is cozy, yet surprisingly roomy.

The menu offers a range of street style food, which seems mostly of Spanish and American style. They cater for vegetarians, which was impressive.

My friend and I decided to share a peach, pear, and cinnamon spice white wine sangria, which was absolutely delicious. The menu informed us it would equate to approximately four standard drinks (two each) - and this allowed us to both consume approximately 5 or 6 glasses of the sangria. It was delicious, and the entire time we sat with our gigantic jar of sangria, we talked about going back again another time for more. They have the taste perfected, and it truly is an exceptional summer beverage.

We also ordered food and snacks - I really enjoyed my vegetable frittata, but the highlight was perhaps the nut snacks - they were absolutely delicious.

Overall, we spent probably close to 3 hours just sitting and taking in the wonderful, warm atmosphere of Chuckle Park; Friendly staff and great value food definitely contributed to our desire to head back there soon!!

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quirky and fun dining experience in Melbourne!

A very hip little diner tucked away in a disused alley, run from a disused caravan with a whole lot of quirk. The girls running the show are passionate about their stuff and turn out great food with an appreciable knowledge of good beer (though they could expand the range a tad). On initial perusal of the menu, I had my doubts. It sounded a bit too greeny/alternate/not-me type food but at least meat was mentioned so I tried the top item on the menu, Pulled Pork Roll - a nice juicy and flavorful experience. I came back the next day and picked the next item down the menu, Vegetable Frittata. I didn't expect it to arrive in the same style roll as the Pork Roll but it works well. Looking forward to my next visit, probably next week as I got strange looks when I suggested maybe a 3rd day in a row.

Great atmosphere. This place stands out with its astroturf, garden arch, fete-like decor, indy glass jar lanterns, and hip grassroots surrounds. The food is classic street food: gourmet hotdogs, spanish street bites, meatballs etc.
They also have a nice range of beers and ciders available.
Great place. Although they do take their time serving the food, so be prepared to have to wait if you order food.
