There was an amazing selection of chocolate here. They sell mostly Fair Trade Belgian chocolate, all made on site. It was interesting to watch the chocolate being made through a glass window. We bought a great selection of individual chocolates which were all packaged for us in decorative boxes. The prices were a bit on the expensive side, but it was worth it for the quality as a special treat.

Always worth a visit if you're in the area! There are many different chocolates to choose from - some are always available and others change depending on season or creativity in the kitchen! There are vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free options, and the staff are knowledgeable about their products because they make them all on site. It's worth going at 11am or 2pm for the short demo of how they make the chocs too!

This is a great place to visit if you love chocolate. The cafe is set in a lovely bush setting and the hot chocolate is better than you will get in most places.

Twice a day they do chocolate demonstrations in the attached chocolate shop which is interesting. All chocolate is fair trade and the staff are very friendly and know lots about chocolate!

Some other chocolate shops give a free sample with each hot drink which I think the Chocolate Mill should consider doing as well.

Overall a great experience

We timed our visit specifically to be able to watch the advertised demonstration. Unfortunately, the demo was not conducted very well. We were a group of about 40 people, including many children, squashed inside the little shop, looking through the glass at a lady who was demonstrating how to make chocolates. A male staff member, who was very knowledgeable, tried to make the talk more interesting by passing around a big 5-kg block of Belgian chocolate to let us have a feel, and also explaining the differences between natural vanilla (used in good-quality chocolate) and vanillin/artificial vanilla. After a short 5-10 minute talk, the demo was apparently finished and we were left to our own devices, without even a proper goodbye. We did purchase a few of their chocolates, but without trying any from the shop, we were a bit unsure as to what to pick from the many flavours on offer.

However, the ice cream and hot chocolate offered in their attached coffee shop tasted really great and were good value, just $4.00 and $6.00 respectively. The ice cream was a generous serving size, two big scoops topped with a flavour of chocolate of your choice. The hot chocolate was served in a big bowl and tasted really fantastic, if a little watery.

It would be a nice touch if they handed round some samples at the end of the demo or something, especially on weekends when so many people purposely drive all the way up to this shop, which is located in the middle of a highway and easy to miss.

Delicious handmade chocolates, good coffee and fantastic hot chocolate! Quality of the chocolate is amazing and you can see them actually making the chocolates. Chocolates are expensive but I think that is to be expected for Belgium handmade chocolates :)

It is really a must if you are staying in the area. Great coffee and amazing chocolate ice-cream. Of course many different varieties of chocolate is sold and this also if top quality and amazing.
