Recently stayed here on the mothers day weekend. The hotel chalet as nicely appointed and the staff very friendly. They put on a great buffet breakfast for mothers day!

Bright Chalet is THE BEST. I loved every minute of our stay. It's a Swiss style rambling building built over 2 levels in a fabulous location on a hill side just out of the town of Bright. From there, of course there are the snow fields, wineries and all sorts of other sights and attractions.

The Chalet itself has a minibus and can transport to some of these places.

But if you just want to stay there and have a break, you can pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist. I've stayed in places all over Europe and the Chalet gives you that cosmopolitan feel combined with a friendly family atmosphere.

Of course, it all depends on what you value. If you want a glass and plasto-marble box, don't stay here. There are carpets, dark wood furniture, comfortable surroundings which might not be new but are just charming. Our room upstairs had a balcony, double and single bed, lovely bathroom, TV, desk etc. All the comfortable facilities you would want.

Downstairs in the huge dining room there's a homey atmosphere, there's a lovely seating area next to the gardens and another TV lounge room.

The meals were just ... amazing. And the host often eats with the guests. Huge array of breakfast choices all arranged buffet style, dinners of magnificent home cooked food.

There are lovely walks just outside the door - a tennis court, swimming pool, gardens, bush areas and creek and a playground you can walk to.

The only drawback was a noisy group were next door and sounds of talking/laughing etc quite late which was a little disturbing to my child for sleeping. But that wasn't the owner's fault.

Whatever season, I'd be happy to stay at Bright Chalet again and again.
