Had scones & coffee for afternoon tea - the coffee was good, the scones looked impressive but tasted pretty ordinary. Hardly warm, although they'd one straight o the table fom the microwave (I'm sure this didn't improve the texture to taste).

Th price - OMG, $12.40! $7 for the scones alone, and the cakes on display were $9, and all they had were caramel slice and some friands! Even for a large slice of cake, I could get cheaper at any of the expensive coffee shops in Sydney.

View was nice, bu not worth the price.

i would at least expect freshly made scones for $7, not reheated ones!

Hi Homeowner, We have to agree with Lorraine13’s below-mentioned comment. In our opinion, $7- for ‘nuked’ scones is a bit of an ask. Reeces

this is a really nice restaurant in the botanical gardens in hobart, they have lovely devonshire tea and the scones that come with that are divine!! i defiantly recommend.

I have had lunch here with family a couple of times and enjoyed the meals. The view is fantastic, although the food is a bit pricey. They do excellant coffee, hot chocolate and iced chocolates. Its a nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee on a sunny day but not a common activity due to the pricing.

Approximate cost: $23

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, for breakfast, lunch and snacks, and know many other people who have eaten breakfast and lunch there.
I have not had any nice items other than an iced chocolate and a hot chocolate. The breakfast I ate there once was average but very overpriced.
I once paid $2 for a babycino (usually free at most places) and there was about 2 teaspoons of froth - no milk. Needless to say it was a waste of money as there was so little froth in there my baby couldn't even get it out. That's just plain rude to charge $2 for that!
Scones I've had there before have obviously been premade then microwaved - not nice.

Hi CS25, Despite your complaint (and the one from Homeowner), this establishment continues to 'nuke' their scones some three years later. It would appear that they do not listen to their customers. Given the simplicity of scone construction, it is a disappointing component. Reeces
