We had our wedding down south in Denham Court as we wanted a more western-style venue but ran into catering issues as the reception does not do Asian style cuisine. Our guests were mostly Asians so we looked around for an Asian wedding catering company and found Blue Phoenix.

They were great. Our guests only had nice things to say about the food and the service was professional. This wedding would not have worked without the mobility and flexibility that these guys provide, as Asian cuisine is often expected as Asian weddings, especially for the elders.

My wife and I used them for our wedding and to be honest they were poor. We understand that you cannot get the same quality and serving size as the tasting but to be that far off, from what we had at the wedding, was very disappointing. Food was not fresh and servings were very small. To name some examples, most guests and family complained that the crab was inedible on the night and those who took it away had to throw it out the following day. The lobster servings were very small and the noodles that went with it had a disgusting smell. The crabmeat soup was like jelly to the point where guest could hold it in their hand without it dripping. I found that the seafood spring roll was off. The waiters were very rude and did not care if guest had finished their food and would even remove full plates of food when guest were participating in the wedding festivities. The owner is very difficult to deal with as she talks too much. Overall, my wife and I will NOT recommend this caterer as they did not deliver to the standard they promised.

We had use them for our wedding reception and initial meeting and food trialing went quite good. Although we did have to give some feedback for a few changes. On our day, food was a lot smaller in proportion especially the lobster which Chelsea still charged us the same. Food was brought out cold as if it was cooked earlier and just reheated. Chelsea mentioned our food would've been cooked in the reception kitchen. We had many negative feedback from our guests who had looked forward to the food. Blue Phoenix was a major let down and will not be recommended to family, friends and strangers. I believe they do not have the right integrity to allow them to cater for more weddings. Horrible company who reassures you that everything will be great but performs poorly and gives a different outcome to trial!

Blue Phoenix were the best choice for my wedding.

We had 120 guests and hired out a hall with a basic kitchen. The Menu was largely Seafood, having said that most guests were westerners and EVERYONE loved it.

The food was fantastic. By fantastic I mean people commenting directly saying "this food is the best wedding food I have had". Everything fresh, large variety, all vegetarians/gluten allergies/no pork/no beef all looked after individually. So many of our Guests said that the food was amazingly good and everything I ate, I loved. It was healthy food, nothing too greezy, all their suggestions were great.

As far as being prepared for a wedding. They were, we had no idea. Every service or recommendation offered by them was so much cheaper then any quote I could get. Everything organised by or with Blue Phoenix worked on the day.

They were organised, passionate, helpful, on time and Outstandingly good value and I will recommend them for any function.

We used Blue Phoenix to cater our engagement party, which was held in our backyard. They have their own fully equipped van which the chef is able to cook in. This means fresh tasty food, without having the caterers in your kitchen or having it pre-prepared. The wait staff were also very well presented and the uniforms were a nice touch. Blue Phoenix also provided chairs, tables, marquee and all cups and plates etc, and their pricing was really reasonable considering the quality of the food and what they provided. They also cleaned up completelty and took the rubbish away for us. All our guests commented on how yummy the food was and how high the standard was, paticularly for an asian style of catering which can sometimes lack professionalism and quality. I would highly reccomend these guys to anyone looking at having a party catered.
