Had to do this review in exchange for the promised A$50 From Blockout Blinds. Sorry to say but I would have given their staff -- from Jake who did the measurements to Jason and Spiro who took down my existing curtains and installed the new blinds and cleaned up -- an excellent rating.

The three public faces of Blockout Blinds have been friendly, courteous, professional and the quality of their work and service very good.

I can't comment on the product yet -- that goes with value -- as I've only had it installed less than half an hour ago. Will revisit this as time passes.

But so far, I'm pleased.

We purchased some cheaper blinds elsewhere and they we're of very poor quality so we ended up returning them. Now we have dual roller blinds installed by blockout blinds. They are of excellent quality and actually work unlike the cheaper ones.

Anyone who has ever built a house will probably understand when I say it can be a truly stressful experience. Anyone who does it after living in their previous home for several decades will definitely understand! You have to deal with a plethora of companies and organisations. Sadly some of them add to the stress. But if you’re lucky you strike a ray of sunshine like Blockout Blinds! Our builder provided blinds for all windows as part of the contract but not for our two outside sliding doors. So we found ourselves in our new house with a million things to organise and sheets at those doors.

Fortunately we received a Blockout Blinds card in our letterbox at just that time. We decided to give them a call and see what they were like. From that first phone call we could tell they know their stuff. It was no time at all and one of their Design Consultants, Shane, was weighing up our needs and presenting an ideal solution for us.

Very strong, durable and attractive wide blinds for our two sliding doors. In one case one of the doors was in our son’s bedroom. So, for privacy, we included a second blind, a day/night blind on the door side of the main blind. My son can now open the main blind and leave the day/night blind closed. It lets in all the light and he can see outside, but no one can see in and it therefore gives him complete privacy during the day time without blocking out the view
. At night he simply puts the other blind down as well. Perfect.

Blockout Blinds obviously pride themselves on meeting deadlines and doing what they promise. They never missed a beat. I wish all organisations had those principles and that efficiency.

Ken and Jason came to fit the blinds and arrived within the time frame promised. They were extremely friendly and polite and I was stunned at how quickly they did the job – less than 20 minutes – but more importantly to me the workmanship was spot on. Then they made sure I knew how to work the blinds and they even took me outside to demonstrate that the day/night blind provided complete privacy.

Our daughter is building in the same area as us next year, Blockout Blinds can be sure that I will be recommending them as I would to anyone who wants a high quality, competitively priced, no nonsense transaction.

The delivery of my blinds arrived quicker than estimated which was very welcome, and the instillation of them was very quick with the installer taking away any rubbish.

Whilst they were not the lowest quote we elected to install the panel and roller blinds based on our own research of the product and our expectations have been met - excellent quality product and worth the additional cost.
