A weekly family ritual for my little family as we only live around the corner! Bittern market has a bit of everything there From a coffee stall to a local bakery, a couple of candle businesses and a few plants stall keepers. Every couple of weeks the 'fish man' comes where you can buy all sorts of sized fish as well as other pet/animal products. Then you have your usual brick a brack stuff. I regularly find the books I have been wanting to read and a good price. Some of the stalls have lucky dips for the children quite cheap and they have some lovely little surprises inside of them which the children really do seem to enjoy. Its only a small market but when its a nice day it can get quite busy! I love at Easter and Christmas time they have the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus wandering around the market meeting with the children and giving them little treats. Its a special little community. One i'm proud to be a part of.

Great little local market held every Sunday between 8am and 1pm. Huge range of local produce, hand made soaps, educational children's toys, clothes, bric - a - brac, books, pets and so much more. Fantastic stall holders - helpful and friendly and wonderful contributions made to local charities like CFA, schools, bush fire appeals etc. Definitely addictive and well worth a leisurely stroll (even in winter).

Approximate cost: $Free entry
